I love starfish but I'll never have space for a tank size large enough for most species so could I not just make one for asterina starfish? there behavior and dietary habits would be Irrelevant since the tank would be made Pacifically with there needs in mind so any reason this wouldn't work or just your thoughts on the topic would be appreciated.

I don't see why not, your only hurdle would be sourcing them since they're usually received indirectly as hitchhikers

You can absolutely do a tank just for Aquilonastra (known in the hobby as "Asterina") starfish. You could even keep multiple species from the genus if you wanted.

At least some species reportedly feed on diatoms and green algae, so feeding them shouldn't be too tough.

You can find some species for sale at K&P Aquaculture, TerraReef, and other places (TerraReef is reportedly legitimate, and I've heard from one source that K&P is too - the others, like eBay and Etsy, may or may not be).
