So i have an issue, i have a 200 gallon tank that i put in 80lbs of live rock with 80lb of dry sand, 100lbs of dry rock, so the tanks been running roughly 4 weeks now and im in thd ugly phase I’ve been blowint off the rock and moving the sand bed around alittle but i cant keep up with it.
The tank starts to stink really really bad and my protein skimmer is basically filling up every 2 days black/dark green
I’m put some prime into the tank but it isn’t really helping only dosed for 150 gallon didn’t want to go to heavy
Any ideas how to fix this crap or speed it

You could try adding bottled bacteria to try and speed it up, if the water smells super bad, you could try doing a small water change. but besides that I’m not sure if there much you can do except wait it out…what are the current parameters?

Honestly everything seems pretty decent parameter wise think i just have it wait it out think i should hit it again with prime?

your cycle is done, you're into invasion control. 80 lbs of live rock as stated = skip cycle setup, the dry components don't matter. you simply are reefing now, and getting invasions. really hard to handle in a 200, the lighting is likely way too bright. physically clean the tank, to make it comply, post a tank picture.

the reason bottle bac can't help you is because your tank isn't low on bacteria. it needs export of the invasion directly.

+1 to pic and lighting
unless you have no coral in there, you do not REQUIRE/NEED lighting

Sounds and smells like your live rock has rotting organisms on it. Not much you can do but ride it out. You might try removing and cleaning the live rock to minimize further rotting meat inside the aquarium.
