I have a 300g system that has a handful of tangs in it currently. The problem is with a few of the tangs that have been added last and at the same time.
I added a longnose black, scopus and sailfin all together. The longnose black picks on and chases and sometimes tries to hit the scopus and sailfin with its spike. The longnose black is much larger than the other 2 by 3”. The sailfin has a small nick out of the back of its top fin. The black tang has 2 tiny spots 1 in the top and 1 in the bottom fin.
The other problem I have is I added a goldrim and my established naso tang absolutely HATES the goldrim. He hardly bothers anyone else but if the gold rim comes to the front of the tank it’s instant chasing, fight on sight. There’s no scratches or damage yet.
I have 8 mirrors surrounding the tank when I put them in. They do focus on themselves in the mirror but this still happens when the others get close.
It’s been about 36 hours since I added these fish, I guess my question is when do I get concerned about the fighting and to what level? Every single fish is still eating like a pig.
