Hey All!

I hope this is the correct forum. I was just at Tampa Bays’ site and saw their live sand was out of stock. I’m trying to setup/re-setup my tank after a move and want to go the live sand route.

Does anyone know how often they restock. I want to get a rough timeframe in mind for ordering.

I didn’t see any contact info on the site, aside from a telephone number that goes to an “unable to complete call” message. I completely get there need to be judicious about contact. So please no negative tone here what-so-ever. Hoping someone knows time line for restock of sand, or how to contact them - many thanks!

Wen @LiverockRocks is great at answering emails once or twice a week. They also monitor this forum. Tagging their name should get their attention. I am absolutely loving my live rocks delivered in May.

Seconded. Sent them a PM about some live rocks questions I had (type/size) regarding my setup and what I was looking to do and had a quick response and good discussion. Ironically enough my shipment is getting delivered sometime in the next couple of hours.

I love TBS. Great customer support and a great product!

You’ll love the sand if you haven’t used it yet! I used it for my display:

I can’t get enough of the texture. So much more fun and natural than plain white sand. Plus it grows coralline just like the rocks!

I ended up with a couple of hitchhikers: a tiny baby pincushion urchin, a tiny feather duster, and a crab of some kind. I didn’t notice any of them until months after I put the sand in so they must have been REALLY small when the sand got here.

Howdy,

We have found that email is the best way to communicate with customers and potential customers. Email provides a record of each conversation so we can reference details and special requests for harvesting or packing orders. *there is not a phone number on our website, if you'd like to chat on the phone email us and we can arrange a call.

Live Sand is out of stock at the moment for a couple reasons, Hurricane Debby and we are processing some large orders atm. Keep an eye on the website, as it should return soon.

In regard to ordering, we post on the top of the homepage NEW order ETAs. When an air cargo date or UPS date fills to capacity, we close it. Many customers place an order months in advance. We do our best to get orders out as soon as possible and on time. But please keep in mind that live rock harvesting is weather dependent, and delays can happen.

Rock on.

Thank you so much for the update. I emailed earlier today. It sounds like I should place an order and await availability of what seems like a well loved amazing product! ☺️

I completely understand Mother Nature has her own plans, well outside our timelines. Again thanks for the info and I will work on placing my order.

Folks need to remember....you have to go diving to get live rock and sand. Not everyday is a dive day. Having been in their shoes 'fins' for over forty years I can assure you they are out everyday that is possible to dive. The weather is fickle and the quality of what Tampa Bay Saltwater provides is only available from them. This is not like Publix where it is on the shelf wailing for you...it is waiting on the bottom of the Gulf until they can dive and get it for you! There is no better choice in the world!
