I want to super glue a piece of PVC to the end of my dosing tube to weight it down and also not allow it to reach the bottom.
Think the Kalk would mess with the glue?
This is my lazy way. I’m sure I could zip tie it.

Just Curious. Super glue vs Kalk.

Curious maybe others attempt to keep their dosing tubes off the bottom of their reservoirs?? Pictures? Eh Eh?

Thanks for your time.

Don't know, but it's worth a try.
I started Kalk dosing this week and Idk what the heck the secret sauce is but my 75 gallon mixed is LOVING it
Eventually will be 2 part dosing on top of it.
I was using brs 2 part before this.

Off at a tangent but you know when you add bicarbonate of soda powder to superglue, it goes rock hard. Well a while ago I did the same process using calcium hydroxide powder. It was strangely unreactive, lol

Bicarbonate acted almost like an accelerator? Making it harder faster or just harder in general?

What made you experiment with this?
Just out of curiosity.

I tend to fiddle with stuff that don’t need fiddling with. The bicarbonate and superglue trick has been around for years though. Goes rock hard, instantly.

I like the fiddling mentality!
Soo let’s say I run out of super glue accelerator. ( I don’t use it near the tank because I’m not sure what’s in it. And rise after use on frags.)

I could refill the spray bottle with bicarbonate and use that instead?

I like that idea. As long as I keep it off the corals in case it might cause a burn?

Or is the bicarbonate and superglue mix mostly used in aquascaping?

Saltwater sets it off quite quickly, quickly enough for me anyhow.
