So I’ve been contemplating getting a new sump. Curious what everyone thinks would be the best size. Thinking about a 36” trigger systems ruby sump. I would like enough room for two in sump reactors and a big slimmer. What are your guy’s thoughts?

Haven't used a sump yet, but understand the basics. My understanding of sumps is that you can really go with whatever you want, right? There aren't any limitations? Just making sure you have enough room - somewhere - in order to place it and hide the plumbing if you wish.

Are there other considerations? Such as footprint underneath your tank, return pump size, are you looking to use it for other uses like a refugium, etc?
