Hi I’m about to setup my tank and buy the last few remaining pieces of equipment. In my sumps first chamber I plan on putting a sk-3000 Gen3 Roller Filter the chamber is just big enough for it. The 2nd chamber which is the refuge I plan on putting a baffle to split it into 2 chambers. One for skimmer and possibly another piece of equipment and the other for the refuge. And of course last chamber for return pump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I want to use this space as best as possible hence why the skimmer chamber I want to fit another piece of equipment if possible.

Tank Red Sea 260/wsump
Skimmer Reef octo 130
Lights ai hydra 32X 2
Flow 2 mp10s and Red Sea 25
Return pump not yet decided
Heaters not yet decided
Controller hydros or apex
….. Mixed Reef……

Filter roller and then I’m not sure what would be the next most useful thing. Bio pellets, carbon reactors? What’s ur thoughts or what would u add?
Myself, I run a lot of gear: ReefMat fleece roller, various bio media (MarinePure, PolypLab), AquaUV sterilizer, Nyos Quantum protein skimmer, a pair of Nyos Torq reactors (Zeo, Carbon/GFO) and a recent Ozotech Poseidon 200 ozone system. Plus the full Neptune suite of gizmos.

The last chamber is for your return pump. Are you going to add any bio bricks or live rock to jump start the tank?
Yea I know that but I was going to split middle chamber and try n fit something with the skimmer and the other half the fuge. But yea some bio bricks. I was just wondering what is a good option for another peace of equipment

Carbon/GFO reactor. Does it make a big difference in your tank?

Carbon/GFO reactor. Does it make a big difference in your tank?
Yes. I'm running an ozone system now, so the carbon isn't really needed anymore - but I still like it for a variety of reasons. It's also there to remove any excess ozone if need be. The GFO keeps my levels at roughly 0.1ppm phosphates - so with 42 fish and heavy feeding - this is greatly needed.
