I have a sump plumbing schematic along with parts I intend to use. Any recommendations/advice would be great as this is my first tank that I am plumbing everything myself vs. it being predrilled. TIA.

Any particular reason why? I'd have to do it under my stand so in reality it would look more like this with 2 90 degree elbows. You may not want a straight run from your drain to your sump
And, so check valve on both the drain and return? There's no check valve needed on emergency drain, right? You may not want a straight run from your drain to your sump. Plus a check valve in your return will help to prevent overflows if your return pump shuts off
Dont rely on check valves. They will fail eventually and you will have a bigger problem when it does. Make sure your sump can hold the water drained back from the tank and make sure your return nozzle isnt too deep into the tank. Thats a much better flood prevention than check valves. And, so check valve on both the drain and return? There's no check valve needed on emergency drain, right?
Umm... I'm not sure? This is the pump: PumpMy mistake my check valve is on my return not drain. I also have check valves on my sump pumps and have never had one fail in over twenty years. Noise but you have a turn so it should be good. Also are you using a DC return pump so you can control the flow. If not you may want a valve to control the flow
