Alright, so I decided (after some accidental suggesting from @Jesse Sunday ) that I would turn the Fuge section of my sump into an Anemone Tank. Just curious if anyone else has ever done something similar before? Basically it's an Anemone refugium instead of a macro algae refugium.

In the past is had considered plumbing a frag tank into the sump as an "expansion" overflow to handle more back siphonage from the DT in case of a power failure.

I had never heard of putting an anemone in the sump before instead of a refuge.

I would worry that a nem might wander and take a death ride in the return pump or protein skimmer (if it went upstream). Otherwise Its a good place for a nem and clownfish.

No protein skimmer and I have a sponge between the Fuge section and the return section. I have filter cups instead of socks so if they wander into the sock area it's just a secondary tank more or less. Less light, more flow in that chamber.

I'm considering adding a pair of Clowns and a Hector's Goby plus some snails. Currently I have a Black Porcelain Anemone Crab in with them but they're not hosting him readily.

This is going to be nice.

accidental suggesting from @Jesse Sunday

Ahahaah, I absoutly love that I accidentally inspired! :)

If this turns out beautifully, I take full credit! ;)

I can't wait to see how this turns out. I love the openness of the ESHOPPS sump, so I have faith it'll be great! What are you planning for lighting?
