Hi all. I’m having a custom sump built. I have the choice of white or black for the sump color for the same price. Does anyone know of any benefit of one over the other? Leaving esthetics and personal taste aside, I’m talking for reef benefit is there one better than the other. Thanks for any insight.

First thing I do when setting up a new reef tank is paint and then cover outside of sump. I always do white. Prefer the clean aesthetics but also makes it super easy to spot anything in sump and allows me to hide wires. Course shows any detritus being the biggest factor. I am actually doing the sump on new 625G2 right now. Good luck
