I'm in South AfricaCalcium chloride is calcium chloride. The important consideration is purity. According to the MSDS, the composition is 72-95% CaCl. Not very pure. The label would be more helpful than the MSDS to make a determination. It should be labeled food grade or ACS grade. Where are you located?
In food it is often used as a preservative for canned goods and in cheese making if that helps narrow down your search…I will still shop around to see if i can get food grade, maybe some craft beer brew shop, the other that i can get my hands on is this but its for pools, and cant get any info on it.
Yeah that helps, theres a couple local sites for cheese and beer making that sells calcium chloride but doesnt give alot of details about % etc but think it should be good to use as its all food grade. In food it is often used as a preservative for canned goods and in cheese making if that helps narrow down your search…
