Noticed 3 small white dots that have appeared on one of my polyps. Probably showed up a couple of days ago. Also noticed another dot appear on a neighboring polyp, so it is spreading in some way.

It might be pox, but they don't appear like pimples. In fact they don't cast a shadow at all and seem to be borderline flat or just a pigmentation. Only in the last pic does it seem like there might be some slight shape to one of them. Also, the polyps still open up every day on schedule. The dots are scarcely visible during the day because the zoa's tendrils obscure them. Only at night are they obvious.

Did you ever get an answer?
I apologize for the late reply. Hopefully it's still helpful to you if you were needing it.

My best guess was that it was indeed pox, or at least some other kind of bacterial infection. Bad news either way, but I managed to fix them.

Nitrofurazone from Aqualife. I took the zoas out of the tank, placed them in QT, and mixed in a very small amount of the powder into the water and let them soak for 20-30 minutes. I did this for 3 days, and the spots vanished completely. So, at least in my experience, this stuff works like a charm. It'll tick off your zoas a little but they'll open back up. Whatever the spots were, I suspect it was bacterial, and nitrofurazone nipped it. Highly recommend.

Based on your name you might make good use of this someday, haha.

Thanks for replying. I ended up getting some cipro and amox and did I h2o2 salt water dip > iodine dip > amox/cipro and 6/7 recovered or are in recovery.

Any of that stuff work on dinos by chance? Been dealing with a soul-crushing invasion right now and it's pretty much killed off all those zoas that I saved with the nitrofurazone. Frankly I don't even like to look into the tank at this point.

Best of luck to that last seventh coral of yours.
