I have a little 56l tank that's going through it's cycle.

AI Blade Coral Grow 21"

I could use some suggestions when it comes to stocking the tank.

Fish wise, I was looking at a Royal Gramma, Blue Neon Goby or maybe a Firefish.
There are so many different gobies and blennies out there, it's hard to chose.
Realistically with my size tank, am I looking at a single fish?

Shrimp, I was looking at 1 or maybe 2 cleaner shrimp?
Maybe a blood shrimp?

For corals, 1st up I was looking at Green Star Polyps. I've read they can be a bit of a "weed", so I'm trying to figure out a spot where they won't take over 1/2 the tank.
Pulsing Xenia, similar problem.
Zoanthids.
Maybe a Toadstool coral, something to reach up from the rock.
Would really like to try a Hammer Coral.
And while not a coral, I would like to have a Rock Flower Anemone or 2.

I greatly appreciate all suggestions and opinions.

I think a firefish would be fine. I think gramma's need more space. A tailspot blenny should be able to be in that size tank.

Gsp should be fine as long as you only put it on one of your rock formations, and are prepared to either move other corals or trim it back.

Zoas will do fine. You could do a hammer or frogspawn (or both). A mushroom or two would be nice. Also, a blasto would look good. Maybe an acan in the sand.

The RFAs would be fine in there. Once mine found spots they like they didn't move.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm going to steer clean of GSP and pulsing xenia. Too many horror stories.

For fish, I've been looking at clown gobies. Would I be able to fit in 2?
I was thinking of 2 different types, a yellow and a green.

I loved my clown goby, and funny enough is what I was going to suggest! I only had the one though. I'm not sure how they do in pairs to be honest.

Wouldn’t do two clown gobies, they tend to be a little mean to each other. Don’t tell my sixline wrasse but my yellow clown goby and tail spot blenny are my fav tank denizens. Would highly recommend going for either

You could do gsp on a rock island, mines been on a rock island coming up on 3 years and not spread from it. + 1 on a tailspot blenny, small fish with a huge personality. Might want to consider sexy shrimp they do well in groups of 3 or more ( they are small) and your rfa’s will host them.

No clown :(, if u do decide to add a clown, add in all the fish first, then a clown, clowns tend to claim the whole tank as theirs, in such a smal tank, and kill all,
If they are added first
I know this from experience lol

I think I’m correct, correct me if I’m wrong

I have the yellow. They are peaceful and interesting fish that stay small. They also stay more visible than other options, such as fire fish.

As far as coral goes: I’m a fan of Favia’s and blastos. My wife likes gonis.

I'm definitely set on the yellow clown goby now.
I also thinking of giving spot no.2 to the tailspot blenny.

Would there be room for a 3rd fish, or would that be my stock limit?
Was thinking of some kind of free swimmer, like the blue neon goby, or something similar.

When my tank is finally cycled, what should be the 1st stock added? Should it be a fish?

With corals, is there anything similar to GSP, pulsing xenia? Looks the same but doesn't take over the tank.

Gsp won’t spread if on an island unlike xenia.

You are completely correct, i had to a sixline wrasse in the middle of the night to keep the clowns from going bonkers
