The stock skimmer in one of my RSM250s wasn't working, so I disassembled the pump and pulled out the corroded impeller. Price for a replacement? $120 CAD with shipping. Three hundred dollars later - I thought I'd better snag the last OEM pump for my other tank-- and this has turned out to be an expensive Monday.

I can't be the only one who's had a little itty part turn into an expensive surprise. Don't let me be the only cautionary tale!

Seems a bit pricey. Looking at needlewheel impellers, most are $30-$60.
The whole pump is only $100.
$106...American. And Canadians don't get free shipping on items sent out of the U.S. This is what you get on Amazon Canada. :)

That also seems to be the skimmer pump for the C-250, which is somewhat underpowered compared with the original 250 (with the curved sides, of which I have two). The original model has a flow rate of over 2200 l/hour, and a different impeller.
