I have searched a lot of topics on the forum, but I have not found a clear answer.

I'm waiting for the delivery of this tank
Size:168gal 72x18x30
Why Tenecor? They offer 3/4" cell cast acrylic on the walls and top, and 1/2" cell cast acrylic on the bottom (when others only have 1/2" at best).

And now I need to choose a stand.

The first option was to buy aluminum structures and assemble it yourself
But I'm not sure that I can beautifully sheathe the wood myself.
It would be ideal to find Magnetic panels, an example https://www.elosamerica.com/cabinets/
This is ideal, but I did not find it for sale.

Therefore, I returned to the option of buying a ready-made stand.
And here a big disappointment awaited me .... all the stands are of terrible quality (not enough supports and a lot of gaps between the materials)

I settled on a few options that at least visually look more or less good.

1) TRUVU M5 Aquarium Stand fits 72x18 ($1,234.00)
https://truvuaquariums.com/collecti...quarium-stand-and-canopy-fits-aquariums-72x18
Built with ¾ in. real wood veneer plywood. Removable back panel for larger filter installation. Euro hinges.
The second photo, but black.
The problem is that there are absolutely no real reviews on this cabinet, only a few of "nice" photos on instagram
There is also no scheme of how it is done inside (but I'm going to ask them for this)

2) R&J 72"Lx18"W Modern Birch Rectangular Aquarium Stand ($1,410.00 + $100 Standard Acrylic solid top)
Black Birch

3) http://www.dfwaquarium.com/Products/OceanVue-Stands/72x18-Wood-Stand-30-Tall-Black.html
It looks good, but the lack of a top panel is critical, unless I install it myself.

But the purchase of these stands looks like a "pig in a poke" (taking into account that the return will be very difficult and expensive, about $400)

Tell me please, have you heard anything about the stands of these brands? Can you recommend other options?
Where did buy your stand? What brands are generally proven in terms of quality?

Thanks in advance!

UPD. I'm living at Leander, TX, 78641.
Budget is $1500-1800 (including delivery cost).

Hi, you can give CDA a call. They make custom stands.
They are steel or aluminum frame and skinned any way you'd like.
I've ordered a custom tank from them and they have really good customer service.

good luck!

@Saltyreef

Very interesting option, I will write to them.
THANKS!

I'm afraid it could be very expensive (including shipping)
After buying a tank, my budget is 1600-1800

BTW
How do you think aluminum with additional fasteners is a good choice? steel will be very expensive

Structurally i feel its a great choice.
These aluminum framed stands, properly braced, can hold a crapton of weight.

They are based in los angeles Ca and if you are in TX it may be not too much money if they have a local retailer you can pick up from.
My local retailer was luckly an hour away.
I was able to pickup without any freight cost.

Hi @KLaRue,
In my first post, I specified them as the third option.
It looks good, but the lack of a top panel is critical, unless I install it myself.

Have you used their services or heard real reviews?

Thanks

@Saltyreef,

Sorry for offtopic question... what is your opinion/expirience?

Will be enough "3/4 cell cast acrylic on the walls and top, and 1/2 cell cast acrylic on the bottom" for 168gal 72x18x30 to avoid significant deflection along the "walls"?

Im not an acrylic expert but for acrylic i would always think bigger would be better.

Since it will be rimmed/braced i think 3/4 should be sufficent but again, im no expert and am a glass guy.

Greetings. Your tank is in production and should ship soon. We can help you with stand options as well. Please contact your sales specialist and explain what you are looking for. Our stands are aluminum profile, 100% waterproof, long warranties, and best of all, less expensive than the wood options you are looking at. BTW, your aquarium will be beautiful. We will be posting some build pics of your tank soon.
