Yes this is the idea give or take... I would want to do more of a stark 1/8" drop on the layers as it will be filled with coral at some point. Also with the under lit display/logo that is interchangeable will make it a little tricky. I also am floating the idea of sinking a few monitors or tvs in the back of the tank...... We will see though as at some point I would like to own a fish lol.

I like that idea too. It'd be easier to do with acrylic too that way I imagine.

Thought of something else you could do since you're not doing sand. Basically a cave lit from under the tank.
This video shows one at about 47 seconds in. I think a cave like this for NPS corals would be really cool.

Wow! This has gone far beyond reefing, and has become an artistic rendition of the dreams and fantasy of all reefers and aquarist around the world, I think we need to reserve a spot in the Smithsonian. Your work leaves me speechless!

This is going to look very cool ! ! !

Yes I like the way it looks in the tank!

I would love to work in your shop!

We have job opening right now LOL.

Just read the entire thread!! Very cool build!!

Thank you! I am happy you like it.

Nice work, looking good. :)

Thanks!

I have to see it
complete....can’t picture how the final product is going to look like.

Yea it was a pain to do this is 2d then move it to a 3d cnc.. I had to do a paper pattern just to see if it would work. I had no clue what it would look like when done but love it!

how are you able to make that R2R sign glow? isnt it at the bottom of the tank?

It is a removable panel with RGB led's under it. It is in the bottom of the tank and will be fully submersed.
