This botrocladia( red sea grapes)came in on a cluster of spiny oyster shells, apparently this little guy was still alive this whole time, just noticed him today!

Look a the white coming out of the shells close to the branch. Some of that is the oyster and some is new shell growth.

I kept an oyster alive on a snail shell for nearly a year, started at around 0.5cm and was 3cm when it finally died, Im assuming he eventually starved as my tank had a nutrient deficiency in it for about a week. The snail had originally died so I glued the shell to a little ‘pedestal’ ornament I had. It was super cool, would give it coral food occasionally and had it in a medium flow area. No idea what species

Yeah this guy has definitely been mooching off the phyto and ab+ I give the tank.
