So I just bought a mushroom from my LFS, and I did my first reef dip. Before my second reef dip, I cut off the frag plug and saw that there were flatworms crawling off and out of the frag plug (2-3). There were two frag plugs stacked on top of each other and some of the worms came from in between them. I freaked out a bit I admit, but I was wearing gloves and carefully removed any visible flatworms and eggs. I did a second dip, making sure to stir the coral in there just like the first time and inspected again. I'm sure there were no flatworms on the mushroom before i put it onto my live rock, but just to be sure I wanted to know of any PICO/NANO species that could take care of pests like this. I have a yellowtail damsel fish in my 5 gallon that's housing this mushroom, so I know it may limit my options. I am willing to rehome my damselfish if it means peace of mind from pests.
