I have noticed that the Golden apples are about to split and the Pink/peach w purple center has popped a new mouth......That good news.


Well the large pink one looked like it was going to pinch one off, but now it looks like it ripped it's foot underneath it......? Not sure what is up with it, you can see internal filaments underneath it. Although the ones in the past that looked like this never filled up this one is still filling up just not as much. The blue one looks like it started to bleach shortly after the VHOs caught fire and all I had was the Halides. It is under some stress as well but looks healthy for being under stress. I have a prescription of Tobramycin that the doc gave me a while ago for a bacterial infection in my eye if need be I will do a experimental dip with the pink yuma if I think it is coming down with a bac infection. I don't believe that the issues right now are related to the addition of the T-5s but more a condition to the dramatic loss of the initial lighting that they were under. I also lost 3 of 5 Purple Death frags since the light issue, and 2 more frags that look like they didn't care for the Halides alone......So who knows, there has been alot that this tank has gone through in the last 3 weeks. All in all these Super Actinic Rs are just as good as the UVR Super actinic 03 VHOs.....Great bulb and light system.

Thanks pnoy......The pink Florida is by far my favorite, then the pink/peach w/ dark purple center.....The center of this thing is so dark at times it looks black......I have though about not getting any more zoas/ and palys and going for the rics full time.....But that is just crazy thoughts......LOL.

I also forgot to mention that I have a huge colony of sponge that has taken over the under parts of a lot of rock that is starting to die off as well.....So at the same time I added a Rena Filstar xP2 canister filter to help with filtration. I plan on using it for activated carbon and poly filter......See if I can keep it clean enough to choke out some of this algae......

Looking sweet James. Just be careful with the t5s, they are much more intense than people think. Maybe run them a little less and then run them longer as everything gets used to them.

Yea the more the get acclimated to the lights the new ones seem to be filling out more.....The older ones that were used to the old lights are a little smaller then they used to be.....But I'm sure that will change as they grow accustom to the new lights.....The pics are taken with a Nikon coolpix 4300 in macro mode.....Not the best macro mode but good enough. I would like to get my Dads Nikon and take some pics his is a much better camera.
