Took some close up shots with my phone and I think a lot of these turned out pretty cool. Just wanted to share.

Here are a few more I captured this week for those that are interested.
Since this is a photography forum.. What are you doing to get the lighting so perfect. Case in point the blue washed out photo posted above.

Your lighting looks perfect for photography.

I like my tank a little more white than most people so that may help? The only things I use/ “post editing” is a 14000K lens filter, it’s the orange one. Ironically enough, I still have the old school one that isn’t big enough for all 3 of my phones lenses, but still obviously works.
I also hit the “auto” button in iPhotos— in my experience the auto seems to just lighten up the background, but I could be wrong.

if this helps you any, here are a couple tank shots?

try photographing from further away and then zoom in and crop later, worth a try if you have a decent camera.
nice shots! i always struggle to get the fish moving
Some of my fish will pose and others are camera shy. I’d say most the time the fish pictures are the hardest for me too. If you have an iPhone, Live Photos can be amazing because you can go back and see each of the photos it took and select the one that is in focus, etc. this increases odds since a “Live Photo” takes multiple pics.

Kind of nuts!

We have a nice mirrorless camera and my wife keeps wanting to use it to shoot videos of our new twin girls. To be honest our S23 Ultras take 10x better video than the camera. Now if you take the time to take setup the camera right it can blow the phone out of the water on stills.

I was taking some closeup videos of watch dials with the camera and the quality was meh, just holding a watch in my hand and doing a 3x zoom on the s23 ultra was super sharp in comparison using a macro lens, light box and tripod.

I got a couple coco worms and feather duster so I decided to take a few more pics. Here they are for those interested.

Also had an acro “bubbling”, thought that was strange and unique as I’ve never seen that before.

Got another good one of the fan worm.

IMG_0318.jpeg Not necessarily a close up, but I couldn’t resist sharing a picture of my frag garden also. IMG_0328.jpeg
