Soda ash - dense vs light

My local chemical shop stocks soda ash dense which is technical grade and also soda ash light which is food grade.

Apart from the purity aspect with food grade being better, is there a reason as to why you would pick one over the other?

Is there any difference when it comes to mixing them? Do the mix easily?

Would 25kg of each make equal amounts of dosing solution or would you need to use more of one to get the same result?

There is no reason to care about the dry bulk density, only the purity.

Mass based solutions would be identical.

Using my DIY recipe and calculators, my DIY recipe #1 would use 594 grams of baking soda that you would bake to make (or you can buy directly) 375 grams of sodium carbonate/washing soda/soda ash.
