Welcome to R2R. We all have to start somewhere. This is a good reference if you've not read it yet.

Welcome to r2r a good start already by being on a forum before diving in.
Also watch brs 52 weeks of reefing on you tube it's good for begginers but get some head ache tablets as Ryan's voice does go through you a bit .
Good luck and don't rush .

Welcome aboard, I second watching the BRS series 52 weeks of reefing, it offers a lot of information and can answer a lot of questions even before you begin.

Good luck and you definitely are in the right place for help.

Welcome to R2R! Buying a book on reefing, ANY book on reefing, is a good start. There are lots of good videos on YouTube as well just remember that they are all hobbyists as well and don't always get it right--or we learn new things.

This hobby is not really hard, just a little different and don't buy a bunch of gear because XYZ recommended it. Buy it because you know you need it for your install. Every tank is unique.

Yes to what others have said. There is no hard fast rule of every tank needs to be a certain way. Lots of variety in types of tanks so research is definitely needed. Feel free to ask away!

I liked browsing people's build threads in sizes I was doing so I could get a feel of what's working and what's not working. In my own journey I've already changed paths several times. It's fun and I love it!!

Welcome to the family!

Welcome, best thing I did was to join reef2reef before I started my aquarium.
I asked so many questions before I started and always had great support here, best advice I can give is always ask, do look through all posts before considering anything, however it will be your aquarium.... and reef2reef love good photos
