I am soooooo going to try my hand at raising clown babies! I have a laying pair of misbar maroon clowns and I have a juvenile pair of picassos who are paired up. Hopefully they will lay.

That is awesome! I good with raising them. I know nothing about fish but I have heard and read that clowns are the easiest. That would be a huge money maker for you!
From your screen name, do you beed them often?

I thought that these are misbars and that the genetic trait desired will not reproduce in the fry. Am I wrong with the info I have heard? According to the MOFIB info, these fish will produce normal clown fish.

I am curious to see what grows out.
Keep us up to date!

What up Ian lol. Actually I have bred snowflake with occ before and I got 30 to 40 percent snowflakes. There pattern is not a misbar. It is a recessive gene that actually comes through to offspring. Some people say it is a mutation. If that is the case picassos wouldnt breed picassos either and they do. I will have to see what happens with there babies as soon as I hatch a clutch of their eggs. I iwll keep everyone posted thank you for viewing
