Snail??

I saw this little guy this morning and I'm not sure if it is a snail or what. Sorta looks like a trochus which i've had trochus snails for about 3 months but I never saw them lay eggs.
Here is a pic next to my zoanthids. Its maybe 1/4 inch diameter shell..

That looks like a baby trochus to me; they broadcast spawn, so you wouldn't have seen eggs laid anywhere. Limpets do not grow in a spiral, but in rings almost like a clamshell.

Possibly, or it could have hitched a ride from the LFS if they also have trochus in their tanks.

Trochus snails don’t lay eggs, they spawn into the water column. One of the few snails that reproduce in our tanks. I’ve had many babies in my tank grow into adult snails. That looks like a trochus snail.
