I’m new to all of this, just bought a few smat farm lights to replace a 60 dollar light off amazon lol. My problem is the bracket they come with is ever so slightly too small to fit over my tanks rim, and I don’t want to cut into the rim of my tank.

Is there an adapter or universal mount I can buy? I like everything I read about the lights, it’s just getting them onto the tank

It looks like the u-bracket can be removed? If so, just look for a wider u-bracket to replace it.

I have mine mounted to a board behind the tank and it is secured with double sided tape, board rests on the floor to support the weight. Seems much more secure than on the rim and less stress on the glass.
