Hi Guys

My tank on has a low demand of alk per day 0.1ml and i am currently using Red Sea foundation B 500ml which lasts quite a number of months which i am running low.

I have been considering switching to Randy’s recipe 1 a go but was wondering if it possible to make 500ml instead of the 3.78L ? Alternatively, would the 3.78L last a year mixed up?

Thanks

Sure, it can be scaled down as low as you are able to measure things. That said, it also lasts forever.

No. Use 500/3785 = 0.13 times the usual amount. Remember that is 500 mL total after dissolution if you want to be especially precise.

does that mean 595gX0.13=77.35grams of sodium bicarb (before being baked)
