I just got a Red Sea Desktop Peninsula and was hoping to reuse a stand I already owned. When I position the tank in the orientation of my preference, the AIO sump area hangs off the back of the stand by 1-5/8”.

I’m curious if this could cause any issues with the seams of the tank?

My gut instinct is that this *should* be okay, especially how the Evo 13.5 is engineered to hang off of its base on purpose with much thinner glass and visually worse silicon seal treatments than this Red Sea tank. But, I’m seeking some advice from the masses before assuming I’ll be fine!

Also ignore the askew leveling mat. This was only like this for me to take the overhang measurement

Thats kind of a big overhang… like you said it probably should be ok but i dont know if i would trust that. Maybe build some kind of rear support? Or buy a 1/2 thick cutting board like i did to the exact dimensions and place that between the stand and tank. Check out this site. Highly recommend this for between tanks and stands. You can see it between my tank and stand below.

Thanks @infinite0180. I think some form of underlying support is a great idea. I may just go to Home Depot and get a piece of plywood to paint for now.
That would work too. I dont like messing with wood and paint so i use these cutting boards whenever possible for projects. I can vouch for that site. Heavy duty boards cut very nicely!
