Hi,
I have some questions about which skimmer is best for me.

i have 75 gallon tank with Lps, softies and very huge number of fish.

i already have redsea reefmat 1200 (i choose the bigger one to remove less frequently the trash and let it brake down little more)

For skimmer i have Ultra reef Akula 160 and 200. But i can't decide which one is better for my tank size, also because of reefmat

Thanks

Im not familiar with those skimmers but I do know from first hand experience of going to a roller mat I wish I had purchased a smaller skimmer. I have around a 90 total gallon system and had a reef octopus 150s which was working perfect. I installed a roller mat and now I wish I had a 110s skimmer.

Agree with going with the smaller one. I took my filter roller off but when I had it my skimmer almost did nothing. May have skimmed 1/4 what is does now.
by your experience, is better keep or remove filter roller? maybe less skim work could get problems in long term?

I started out with a 75 gallon tank LPS/Softie dominant and I ran a Reef Octopus 110INT. Worked great! And admittingly, I feed ALOT lol
