the skimmer chamber is 8x14, and I'm looking for a skimmer meant for 125 gallons, heavy bioload. I was considering the bubble magus 9+ but i think its too big

If you can afford it, Reef Octopus is the way to go IMO. Just can’t beat the quality and consistency. Mine has been running flawlessly for 6 years with minimal maintenance.

And you got to it before me! You may note that the 150 will handle a heavy biolosd with 100g. But when making a choice between two skimmers the rule of thumb is to go a little under rather than over in trrms of whst it can handle. I'm gonna go RO Regal.for my next build.

but my display is 110 + sump would this be too little , i wang to have a lot of fish
I really think it is plenty. They underrate the equipment a bit, and your total system volume after displacement from rock, sand, and equipment is probably close to 100 gallons anyways.

Lifereef 24, it'll handle anything you put in your tank. Plus you can use any pump you want. This is mine on an 83 gallon and I cleaned it last night.

It'll handle up to 200 gallons and if you want to go to a bigger tank you can put an extension on the skimmer body to make it taller. Jeff the owner of lifereef will take the time to talk to you personally if not over the phone he'll email you back very quickly. I bought mine used and he still took the time to help me get it set up.
