Skimmer overflow is bubbling in my sump how to fix

got a new skimmer doing fine tuning by its overflow is causing small micro bubbles to go into my tank how do i fix this

What skimmer do you have? Can the overflow be positioned above the water level?

Hi There. Some of the HOB skimmers have a plastic piece that the returning water falls onto and the bubbles burst on the plate … or maybe a piece of sponge filter positioned so as to stop the bubbles. Possibly the new skimmer is just settling down. Should one clean a new filter to get rid of residues left after manufacture?

It has a small thin piece of sponge I have a thicker sponge that I can switch with, and see if that helps with bubbles.
