I just received results back from my first ICP test. The RODI water results show silicon is very elevated, but the meter on the rodi unit and my handheld TDS meter still measure 0-1. Does this mean the DI resin needs replaced? I have had the rodi for about 5 months now. And make about 25g every 2 weeks. Not sure how/why there would be so much silicon, what the negative effects of that are, and how to make it right.

Unless you believe you have a problematic level of diatoms, I would not do anything about it.

Do you have a tank Si reading?

I regularly dosed much more silicate than top off with that water will cause. It is not something that needs to be avoided in all cases.
