Firefish is swimming some now, nitrates just tested in around 10 ppm

Hello Jay, I can provide some more info. The fish is darting into the sand on its side aswell as swimming up next to the powerhead. I believe it has contracted ich or marine velvet. No white spots are visible to the eye.

If it is ich, you’ll see many white spots, like grains of salt . Velvet usually just causes rapid breathing and sometimes later on, very fine white spots, like dust.
Both can be treated in a hospital tank with copper, but velvet kills very fast, and once a fish begins swimming weakly, it is often too late.
