Setup Advice and Uneven Algae?

Hey everyone, new to the hobby here, this is my first time posting. I bought a used Innovative Marine 20 AIO peninsula, its only been running for 20 days and I’m going through the ugly stage.
I noticed only the main rock is turning green, and the side rock still looks brand new. Is this caused by flow? Lighting? Not enough filter media? I have a AI Prime 16hd w/ a diffuser on Saxbys schedule, the stock return pump with a rotating nozzle, along with a Jebao SLW10 wavemaker on the other end. The only filter media I’m using is MarinePure Bio filter gems, is that enough? Should I get different filter media to add?
I currently have 2 clowns, royal gramma, 13 snails (Astraea and nessarius), and 1 hermit. Some corals (zoas, kenya tree, and xenia that doesn't seem to be doing so great). I'm open to suggestions and any advice, TYIA!

Looking good to me . What you are seeing is a normal part of the process. Just keep doing regular water changes to keep nutrients in check and it will pass .

It may spread all over but you did mention you got snails which might just be keeping it at bay . Tank looks nice btw

Algae is growing where the light is because it needs light for photosynthesis.

Its caused by nutrients plus lighting plus lack of biodivirsity. Its a new tank, and 3 fishes in 20 days is going quickly IMO, so seeing algae a little sooner than usual. I would suggest to slow down, let the system catch up.

Since there are no corals in the tank, you can turn your lights off, or turn then way down at least, it will help with the algae. Also will need some test kits to help control the nutrients nitrate and phosphate

Thanks! I'll try to slow down a bit, I'm just excited haha! I have some small frags in there, GSP, Kenya Tree, Pulsing Xenia (still shocked from dipping yesterday), 2 Zoas, and 2 cheap frags I'm not sure what they are (maybe favia & encrusting montipora)? My phosphate is .08 and nitrates around 10ppm (api test)
