Seachem Matrix vs Aquaforest Life Bio Fil media?

Which would you say is best to use for reef tank I'm using it as additional biomedia in the fluval evo chamber. I do notice the aquaforest says ut has also got bacteria within the product as a big bonus to it but have never used it.

I would question whether either is needed or useful for most reef tanks.
