I received three weeks ago a in very poor shape nem that was aragonite white with a few purple tips. It ate readily but kept getting blown about so I built a little lagoon for it.
it’s been three weeks and it’s stayed put, but it’s not stretching out wide but rather kind of making cute little folds on the edges. It’s color is coming back, it is more a light tan now with striking purple tips which I am assuming is good since it looked like a ghost prior.
My concern is if it’s in a good spot or getting enough light? It’s been kind of scrunched up as seen in photos. Mouth has been closed and on occasion the foot will swell but rest will stay open. Every now and again at night if I check it’ll be shriveled on it’s side with it’s foot swollen. It’s a little bigger since I received it
Previous owner had it under Kessils of some sort on sand bed in a 120 similar to how I have it. I have two Ai Prime HD 16s running 100% blue, 50% UV, 80% V, and 30% CW for most of the day on an eight hour schedule.
Other tank info:
-40 gallon breeder going on 8 months with stock in it for 3 on canister filter (was supposed to be for the rock to cure for bigger tank but my 14 gallon tank busted)
- 2 clownfish (nem will sometimes host them at night), royal gramma, yasha goby, fighting conch, various snails.
- Sexy shrimp and one other min mac carpet nem on other end of tank.
- Purple urchin
