Hello everyone. Selling my (2) Sea Apples.

they open up every evening and I feed them with live phytoplankton daily. these are more of a niche/difficult invert so I will need to see a picture of your tank before you purchase.

I love these guys but unfortunately I no longer have the time to give them proper care.

Blue w/ yellow feet - $60

Blue w/ red stripes - $150 (rare coloration)

$200 for both

Local pickup in Wayne NJ

10ml daily, 20 gallon.

appreciate it!
Do you ever use the concentrated frozen (in glycine so the cells stay intact) phytoplankton? I use these to raise rotifer for my baby clown fish with no problem. Maybe with these you can feed them with ease. One or two drops to your tank daily.

I’ve heard of this company!, but I didn’t look into their products. would this be more cost effective opposed to liquid phyto long term?

It is very economical to use these phytoplankton. Check with them on cost. I ordered once and it last me forever. Frozen shell life is 3 years. Of course, it is not frozen but just a very dark viscous liquid that you can put in freezer. Don't have to thaw out to use. I portion it out to a drop bottle and 1 drop in small cup of tank water, mixed it and put into your tank.

I’ve always wondered about these see apples are they beneficial in anyway and if they die, do they release any harmful toxins that could wipe out your tank?

they are more of a decorative invert. and they contain the same toxin as every other sea cucumber, the only difference is these have frilly tentacles that are sometimes seen as food to fish which leads to predation and the sea apple defending itself (the same way all cucumbers do) resulting in a tank crash from the toxins.

as with any sea cucumber, its a possibility, but if you don't have any predatory tankmates they're completely fine.
Are you open to shipping when the weather cools off?

Darren
Local pickup only, these guys don't ship well.
