Hey yall. I bought a rainbow scoly from my lfs, brought it home and immediately introduced it to my qt after a dip. It's no longer a 6 color rainbow, its now green and orange.

Parameters are
Po4 .07
No3 12
Calcium 425
Alkalinity 7.8
Ph 8.1
Par 125, the lfs said it was sitting under 250 par on the rack but that seems way too much for a scoly.

Is this some type of it getting used to my tank before it returns to its original color or is it now just green and orange?

Same thing can happen when you buy clothes at a department store. They blast the clothing department with lots of light designed to make the garments pop, just like a coral under led blues. I drag my clothes around the store so I can see them under different lighting.
If you liked it in the store then you have a chance that you will like it at home after it adjusts to your spectrum and intensifies. Sometimes they will get much nicer than the store and lets not talk about any other options, just wait and see.
