Yeah, I stocked originally with Algaebarn galaxy pods. Maybe 12-16 jars or more but in our old 65g then another 8 jars once I transferred to the 90g. I have copepods, isopods, amphipods, and a lot of them.

Tank is about 10 months old now with transfer from the 65g. If I just take the age of the 90 and not consider that part of its age, it's about 4 months old. I transferred everything from our 65g in March this year.
Galaxy pods were a smart choice, that's what I used.

I know a lot of people say that new tanks have an ugly stage, and that's certainly true for many reefers. It's not always the case though. This is my tank about a month ago when it was 1-2months old maybe. you can that there's some film algae on the rocks but not too bad IMO. phosphates were .3ppm at the time.

I've seen a few posted around R2R and other places that are supposed to be all in one units. Most are Kickstarter ones though. I think the most recent one I saw was Kia something...

Found it not Kia lol Kai... It's this one

Yeah man it sounds like you have all the bases covered but may be over feeding. I’d take a couple hours and really get in there and scrub/manually remove a lot of the algae then do a coral snow treatment.
i have the ingredients for coral snow but I've never done it. what do you think about it? do feel like it affects the pod population at all?

I use a feeding port for mine. The slow sinking makes them sometimes end up in the overflow. Once they start to sink they drop into some heavy flow and get dispersed. Rather "if" they start to sink. My fish know when that feeder drops and it rarely makes it out of the feeding port.

Late with this but I use frozen mix thawed out in a ½ cup measure and a little tank water. Then I squirt it into the tank. Fish seem to like the chase as it hits the flow. LPS get an occasional direct feed of the same. And I throw in a broadcast feeding of small particle food for the others about once a week.
i know my anthia specifically prefers food that is moving quickly vs just slowly sinking. It's also more fun to watch

you didinbt have to pair 6ers with real money 25s... the 1s and 5s you did

next sale the added rule is every 6 has to be paid with a real money 25

the problem is when somebody buys 8 6ers and then uses a free shipping module we lose out about $100 on the shipping charge and make no money so we are negative over 150 on this..

so next sale this rule has to be inforced so we dont lose so much when this happens.

anybody who did it this sale is all good becouse they played by the rules.. next sale will be diffrent rules..

this only happend with a few orders so no biggy

some people this sale got like 8 6ers and nothing lol and got free shipping they played by the rules so its fine but the next set of rules will be diffrent

Dang, I was hoping that wouldn't happen. Was always hoping everyone that did get a sixer or such, just realized they should also get a few others. You all can't just rob @SBB Corals like that, that's how we lose 1/5/6ers all together! At least pay for shipping if you only get sixers lol.

When I was having trouble keeping my SBB corals alive, Shane told me to stop using the dip I was using and switch to KCL. Used that on the “practice“ corals he sent me. They have been perfect since going in the tank. They still have extreme polyp extension. This is what he uses and now I do. Same as Billy. 2 TBS to 1 gallon of water for 10 minutes.

This is what i use as well. I use 3.4grams per 250ML of water for 5 minutes. Its very very strong.
