The Red Sea skimmer came with a sicce, I forget the model but it's AC and id like to find a small DC skimmer that I can control with the apex since I run my skimmer 24/7 with outside air

You'll need a different impeller if they don't make a needle wheel version of that pump.

Yeah, i was thinking i would probably mod the impeller with a printed needle wheel area. A triply periodic minimal surface geometry would probably work pretty well. I'm just concerned about balancing the impeller.

does anyone know if there are generic needle wheel impellers that can be purchased? not something I've seen
