Anyone have any luck or try a no filter/zero tech (besides heater and circulation pump) tank?

Saw some guy in YouTube had one. Looked like a really nice tank. Looks like well established rock and a deeper sand bed would be required?

I have a 40 breeder plumbed to a Rubbermaid tub with live rock and a heater. Looks and works like all my other tanks. Detritus just builds up and detritus build up at bottom of the tub but you can filter it out as needed

I think so. I put it in the "magic" zone. This is right below my power head. The side frag rack is halfway up the tank, gets gentle flow from the power head pulling water upwards. This location used to be my zoa frag rack until the whole thing overgrew and then I moved it to the 10g grow out tank. Things still grow there, but the Noopsyche has better spectrum so things grow fast in this location.

It has been my fastest grower. You cant even see where i fragged 12 polyps off the mother less than a month ago.
