So SBB has a lot of really nice corals for sale, but there aren’t a lot of pics of them out there, that I can find at least. So I would love to see some. I have a few but mine are pretty much still frag size. I’m especially interested in the acros but share whatever. Let’s see some eye candy!

I’ll start things off my SBB space ghost:

@Joe462

You’ve probably opened up Pandora’s box with this thread. There’s a few of us that are die-hard SBB fans. 90% of my tenuis is from Shane.

Bottom picture:
Left bottom, large mille - SBB Sun God Mille
Bottom (pink acro) - SBB Envy Orange
Middle (green hiding) - SBB Green Goblin
Middle (yellow) SBB Bubmlebee
Top left (green and pinks) - SBB Disneyland
Top middle (colored down) SBB Hotwheels
Top right (purchased from SBB) BK Chem Froot Loops

Everything on the top section of the rockwork is from SBB, but I don’t have many close-up pictures as of right now.

Shane’s recently been having some amazing speciosa for sale that you’ve got to try. And a lot of granulosa that are amazing. Let me think of a few names.

Here’s some must haves:
-Envy Orange
-bumblebee
-pinky and the brain
-any of the speciosa (Special K, Voltron, Slush puppy, Crayola madness)
-pineberry
-pinkberry
-Cinderella
-orange u jealous
-Laffy taffy
-Scooby doo
-volcano mille
-blood moon
-dragon stone

And you’ve got to get a Care Bear goni.

If you want more pictures skim through @billyocean ’s postings, he’s got all of the SBB corals, has a great tank, and takes amazing pictures.

Cheers!

Bump? would love to see some more

@SweetReefOH I know you had some nice ones!

would like to see the rainbow graft, bluegatti, or molten core.......
Hey Joe!
Unfortunately lost the Rainbow graft and the molten core. Not sure what the bluegatti is…

I am still on the fence with the final thought on SBB corals. There is no doubt at all that the corals I get from him are probably the healthiest specimens I receive and I buy from a variety of vendors and hobbyists. The polyp extension is always insane and the colors are usually “close” to what the sale pics show, but not always. You have to really understand what blue lighting does to corals lol. With that being said, I’ll show you some pieces I’ve had for maybe 7 weeks now and my thoughts on each of them. These are just phone pics I snapped a few minutes ago so bear with me on the blues….

SBB FROZEN VOLTRON Speciosa
Obviously this is just completely bad@55! It has actually gotten more color and started encrusting nicely since I got it! No complaints at all with this one.

As you can see here, I’m a little disappointed that not only the top 2 pieces but also the Grandaddy Purp all look like the same coral thus far. The Voltage pieces do not have the dramatic color variations on the skin and polyp base like what was shown in the sale pictures. The Pinky is a piece I’ve been trying to get my hands on for a very long time and as of right now, not too impressed. Grandaddy Purp had no “Purp” on arrival lol. It appears to just be a blue/blue Tenuis. But I whole heartedly admit that it is way too early to make any final determinations on these particular pieces.

I got 2 Bubble Bobble frags as well and they do not appear to be the same “Bubble Bobble” I got a year or so ago and lost. The PE on the last bobble I had was crazy with super long polyps that were blood red. But admittedly, these were labeled “colored down” in the sale so, I can’t make a final determination on these yet either.

I also got the SBB CHERRY POP and I can say it is definitely better looking in person than the sale pics. I’m really looking forward to seeing what it turns into. I also picked up the tropical train wreck about 4 months ago and it is still encrusting. So all in all, time will tell….

I hope things are going well for you Joe!

Things are going pretty well on the reef at least, but i need some stuff to grow! I do finally have a couple of speciosas that seem to be doing well, still early though. They aren't SBB, got them in a trade at the LEAR swap.

that frozen voltron is really nice. Shame about the rainbow graft and molten core, those were two i was very curious about. The others you posted look pretty good to me but i didn't see the posted pictures or mother colonies so i don't have much frame of reference. I have a small piece that is supposed to be SBB pinky and the brain but it didn't come direct from SBB and needs some coloring up.

Love the pics, thanks for sharing

I should have never spoke of the Voltron. For absolutely no reason what so ever, it RTN’d over night :face-with-spiral-eyes:
Makes no sense. My system has been booming for the last 6 months…

Got a bunch. Mainly Gonis. That’s going to be changing soon with more Acros and at least a couple torches hopefully soon. This isn’t all of them.
