Its possible but if you remove it chances are greatly reduced

I’ve had bjd on torches before, tried to save, then removed around your stage and I have not had a “tank wide” outbreak. It’s only been isolated events to an individual torch for me
Well, its removed - hopefully it doesnt spread, or i'll go scorched earth on the tank. I suppose this is just the growing pains, unfortunately. It was my healthiest looking torch too and poof.

Okay, so seeing a trend starting on the 8th of october I started reef roids which resulted in a heavy jump when tested on the 19th. I was alright with the nitrates at 11.8 and phos at .22 after seeing that result I decided to hit it with reef roids in the hope of maintaining those levels, but obviously it increased. My feeding had increased (went from 2 feedings to 3 since my fish load had gotten larger). I'm happy to see that my alk is dropping after posting that 11.4 or 11.6 whatever it was.

Seems that even though fresh salt water can agitate and cause dinos to bloom, it may be a good idea to run a small water change, thoughts? Or I was having my skimmer run lean, should I just turn it up to compensate for the increase. I know that I was told, right now dont worry about numbers, but they are on the threshhold of danger zone, as I was always hoping to run low phos and sit around 10-15 nitrate and 8.5 alk.

Also, I know that I just threw the sink at my tank in the last 24 hours with new reef rock, phyto, copepods, more urchin and snails, as well as just dosed bacteria. now thinking about it, maybe I need to keep my hands off of the tank and out for a few days and let it ride on its own.

I’m also happy to say I’m SO glad I added the powder blue as my last fish. He is a DICCKKKK. Pretty sure he’s picked a fight with every single fish in the tank.

So this is not throwing the sink at it. This is adding beneficial bacterial, CUC, and feeding the tank phyto.

Which brand of phyto are you dosing?

In some cases phyto dosing can reduce nitrates.

Dont do a water change

Don’t dose reef roids.

I would dose phyto again though.

Which bottle bacteria did you go with?
