I wanted it more for zoas, softies, and holding tank really. My current one is 16x14x12 which is nice, but a larger footprint will be nice.
All my frags I sell are cut, glue, hold for a few weeks and then sell.

How big is your new big tank going to be if you already have a 450?
Lol. I'm looking to replace my 90 cube with something that has a bigger footprint. An almost frag tank if you will. I want to be able to have some fish like I do now, but more ground room.
Do you sell shrooms or only to people you know?

I have a CBB but no tangs. Just a Foxface a couple wrasses, cardinals, clowns and a jawfish. Did take out all my tube worms the first week but started eating frozen in about just 8-10 days. And also pretty much wiped out my visible aiptasia.

Yeah. After I read up on it I was like oh. Oh no. what the heck. I shouldn’t be suprised my lfs sold it to me without warning. They sold me the biocube without warning and two other advanced keeper fish. I’m a year and a half in and a little wiser so I went in thinking okay I’m knowledgeable enough to swing it.
It is also my own fault though too for picking up a fish that I didn’t do my own research. I should feel like a clown for that but I will absolutely try my best to care for it. If it’s eating I know that I’ll get it where it needs to be…. Hopefully. I have no qualms calling myself out for being half minded here as well.
We all get a little excited and don't make the best decisions at times. It mostly has a way of working out so hopefully it will. I'm hopeful that after a day the other fish will chill out and it will all be kosher.

Yeah, it’s got it all . Bought it for the aiptasia eating potential, but it’s 1 of my top fish.

Just shooting it with my wife and she asked about the golden god Zoa that arrived today and I was like yeah. Next Wednesday is the big order. Says nothing doesn’t look stunned (mentioned it to her at a huge discount savings of $300… no whale status here folks) then mentioned I also have a light coming. No comment just oh. Okay well don’t forget to take care of the cars and save.

I have like 8 kasa smart strips. Several on each tank plus a few throughout the house. You wont have dimming control AFAIK other than the manual set it and forget it. There are bluetooth dimmer options i believe, but not with just a kasa.Gotcha… gonna go with budget option for now and do kasa WiFi switch with automatic on and off.

I mean. It’s the best when your functional fish actually provide biological function. One of the reasons I’m rocking a 6 line wrasse and flame hawk fish. LOVE the fish but awesome hunter killers of pests.

Yeah I have a plan for now to beat the issue at its own game. Have it shut down an hour before the blade and let the blade subset the tank for me.

If you want something with a bigger footprint and larger capacity, you could think about something similar to Innovative Marine’s SR 120 . Shallow reef style with deeper front to back dimensions. I had the SR 60 and it was the same length as the 30 I had before it but twice the front to back depth.
how many people in here have large acrylic tanks?
