Those nutrient levels are fine, without the GHA present that is. With GHA everywhere there is no way to know where the nutrients are really at because the GHA is consuming a ton of nutrients as well. Need to get rid of the GHA before you can baseline nutrient levels.
This is what I keep reading. Short story here haha new tank 2 months old, half live half dead rock to start. Nutrients bottomed out, 0 nitrates and 0 po4. I suspect this was for about 3 days when I was not available (wife giving birth). Dinos took over, beat them with dosing nutrients and UV. Nitrates stabilized around 5 and po4 0.07.

GHA started to grow on everything. Within a few days it was at pandemic levels. At no point did my nutrients get high, so I'm massively confused

I need some of your cheap water. A good month for me is $200 and in the summer with irrigation running I’ve got $800+ water bills. Cut back on the irrigation after that bill though!
Time to take a hose a dig your own well 400 buck diy. Just jet it down. Plus power.

That’s just water. The BRS power calculator shows my fish room costs me $500-600/month in electricity! Did that as I needed to know why my power usage was more than double all my neighbors. Crazy expensive hobby!! But that does include 12 Radion XR30s, 2 Reeflo Hammerheads, 2 80w UV systems, 4 MP60s, 6 MP40s, Gyres, Skimmers, Ozone, Apex, multiple dosers, dedicated mini-split, and most every other gadget you could possibly think of to use on a reef tank. Still crazy expensive power usage!

sounds like mine. 5-600 a month. too many tanks, cause i think my home would be pretty energy efficient otherwise.

Just got through taking all three kids the doctor, Iurprise they wanted to go to the pet store. I picked up two large shelf rocks. Time to soak them in the sump for a couple months before I rescape things.

Larger piece is about 15 inches, smaller one is about 10.

Will probably have to split the larger one.
