Haha, way more to it than the tank for me. Plus the type of money it would take for me to agree to a job like that, paying for tank maintenance on my own would be pennies.

Yea, that's exactly where I'm torn. It would be quite a change of life style

Did quite a bit of traveling when I was younger. It was fun for awhile, get paid to visit interesting destinations (heck yeah!), made lots of money because all my paychecks went into the bank, company paid for everything while away, everything! But yes, is life changing. Also gives you a new perspective on many aspects of your life.

My first was 7 months in Brazil, back in 1995... Was a very tough decision because I had just dismantled a car completely for restoration. But couldn't pass on possibly a once in a lifetime chance to go to Brazil, and not have to pay anything. It was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. Absolutely no regrets.

Yea, I belive one of the place I'll would be going is Brazil and Mexico as well as all over the states.
I belive there is a plant somewhere in Africa also so I would have that to look forward to.

Now a days I would definitely check what type of political turmoil is happening in any foreign country before going there... Some places just don't like Americans, (hmm go figure?)

Obviously, it's quite apparent that you have an amazing reefing support group here that would get you back into the hobby quite quickly.

But major life changes are always difficult decisions to make...
Gotta follow your heart and don't forget about common sense.

I did it for a couple years. Fast tracked the career but im a man of routine and its impossible to have a routine living out of a suitcase, at least for me.

That is a tough decision to make, but take time to think about it and do what is best for you at this time in your life, but make sure its enjoyable because life is too dam short to just work. Just my 2 cents
