Before I get railed on let me just say this. I caught this fish on a size 26 barbless trout hook, the fish didn't suffer and is doing fine at his new home with no visibile signs of the event.

I was at my wits end with this thing eating 100s of my zoas, so I had to take extreme measures. I've tried nets, traps and everything i can think of for the last month.

Ok now that i've got that out of the way...... :D

That's awesome Brandon!!! Congrats on the catch!!!!

Man that fish must have eaten $500 worth of zoas by now. I know you must be glad to get him out of the tank.

it is a barbless hook, so all I did was take a pair of needlenose plyers and turned the hook and he fell off into a bucket of water.

I was gonna say as long as its barbless it would come right on out but you beat me to saying it :D.

wow.. great catch... glad the fish is alright though...

I seriously was expecting it to be more stressful for the fish and was used as a last resort. I can however say i'd probably use it as my first choice next time. Seemed to be alot less stressful than chasing a fish for 5 minutes with a net.

I had no idea they made hooks so small the thing was about 1/8th the size of a penny, baiting the thing was nearly impossible.

I was there actually fishing with Brandon. I had to keep jerking the hook away from the tang and anthias. When Brandon hooked it he almost jerked it out of the tank. :D

It is doing fine though! I must say it was the funniest thing in a long time for me..LOL!

A picture of me and you sittingon the bar stools with those home made fishing poles made from a coat hanger sure would have been funny.

Thanks for your help you don't know how close i was to pulling everything out of the tank to catch that booger.

LOL! Yea picture this...

I get to Brandons house and he pulls out two mini homemade fishing rods with the line and hook attached. He pulls out two stools and says here is the entertainment for the night! I have to admit it was fun, but the little booger went for the bait to quick.

Hey Brandon,
Tank looks great in the background. How about some tank shots! Your not in the member tank section either. What are you hiding?
