Safe weight on top of 20g tank

Hi all, quick (maybe dumb) question. I'm pretty sure this is safe but wanted to get some opinions:

I have a 3.5 gallon bucket sitting across the top of my 20g long glass sump. It weighs about 30 - 35 pounds. I have the bucket set up as a refugium because I don't have room in the sump.

The sump does have 2x glass baffles siliconed in place as well, which I suspect provides additional support to the aquarium glass.

Should this be safe long term? I have seen people put 5g ATO tanks etc. across the top of their glass sump, but the last thing I want is my sump to burst so just want to be sure. lol

It should be fine. Think about what a nice solid oak hood with lights weighs… they are built to handle it. You could maybe put a frame or piece of plywood under the bucket to distribute the weight more evenly, but I really think you will be fine.

I've got it supported by two 3/4" PVC pipes. My initial thought was that this would be fine, but I've been wrong plenty of times before and wanted to get some other thoughts. lol
