Hello,

I have AA Green Killing Machine 9W and 24W. Both rust inside the pump in 1-2 years (or sooner).

Is that normal or dangerous?

I attach the photo of rust of AA GKM 24W:

Thanks for your help.

1. Are you talking about the brown area on the bottom?
2. Its a little unclear what part of the pump that is - but Is it where the magnet for the impeller goes?
3. What does the rest of the pump look like?

If it is 'rust' - I would not use it in my tank - for a number of reasons.

The official answer from aa-aquarium.com:

"I have checked with our team. Since it’s submersible and operated inside water, a little rust after 2 years is normal.
Is the pump still working? You can just put it in after maintenance, is ok to use.

Best Regards,
Gavin "
