Recently moved and now on well. Have well filter. Incoming TDS is 11, but burned through a whole canister of DI resin mixed bed in only 50 gallons!!! Have went out a well water test, but results pending. Any have a thought of the likely cause???

Most Likely culprit is co2 in the water. You can run the ro into a bin, toss a bubbler in it for a few days, then pump the water through the di to resolve the issue. Assuming co2 is the

Can I ask how your degassing chamber is set up?My water supply is high in CO2 so I run thru a degassing chamber then cation, anion, then mixed. I am getting about 2000 gallons from the anion now prior it was around 100.
Can I ask how you set up your degassing ??A little more work but you may want to degas the RO water first. I started doing this and can get 400 gallons from my DI now.

I was contemplating the same thing. The highest I have seen it go after the membrane is 2 ppm.If your incoming water is 11 ppm TDS (I’m assuming units since you didn’t say, what does it look like if you use only the RO and skip DI? My well water drops from something like 300 ppm at the well to 1-3 ppm after filters and RO. I don’t bother with DI since by the time I filter and then mix in salt the CO2 will be gone. I think people get any too obsessed with trying to get to zero ppm.
