RODI unit help. Don’t laugh…

Okay. I’m super confused. I have a BRS 4 stage plus unit. I stopped reefing for a bit and now I’m back into it.
Setting it up.
I have my blue line going to my brute can leaving the last section of the unit.
My red line is the supply connecting to the entrance or first stage of the unit.
The black hose is connected to the valve that is used to flush the system.

What is waste water and where does it come from? When I run the system it takes me a week to fill up a 30 gallon brute trash can. What am I doing wrong? New filters and I have a booster pump set to 60psi.
I HAVE TO BE DOING IT WRONG. any advice or pictures would help.

Waste water is what the unit expels and considered Not For Use BUT can be used for houseplants/garden
Mine is a black line that runs to the drain

Did you install everything correctly according to the instructions from BRS?

Waste water comes from the membrane. Typically it just goes to a drain, but some people save it for other uses.

Check your membrane as you have low or back pressure somewhere

Did you hear the distinctive pop/click when you installed the membrane?

What type of numbers do the TDS meters give you?

Also 60psi on a booster pump isn't much help.

I'd set it in the 80-90psi range.

In the middle of playing fetch with my dog while reading this but happened to have my manual from the brs rodi!

I have it set so red is my in, black is my waste, and blue goes to the "next stage" with white leading to my reserve tank.

Do you have your waste valve closed or perpendicular to the tubing?

I have a spectipure 90gpd
The supply line is black
Waste is yellow , and good
Water is blue

there used to be a way to calibrate by the length of discharge ( waste ) hose
Once said the ratio was 3:1
My system runs at 70 psi going in . If not enough water pressure it will take forever

Speatrapure the water inlet is on the left side of the unit, BRS is on the right side.
